It's Christmas❆

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?

I love real Christmas trees, they just smell of Christmas (whatever Christmas smells like) but I don't think I could deal with the pine needles that fall out so a synthetic one is fine for me.

2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?

I've only just started to like coffee and I'm in love with mocha's at the minute but I really want to try Starbucks' Toffee Nut Latte (to taste and just so I can get a cute, red cup!)

3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?

In my bedroom I have a mini Christmas tree, the theme in my room is red, gold and white. The tree is white and the baubles are red and gold, I have lots of light up things in my room too. I even made my own little decoration (picture on the left!), it's a usual mason jar filled/sprayed with fake snow with a light up Christmas tree inside and finished off with a lace bow. It's a cute little DIY craft project to do for Christmas and it looks so sweet in my room.

4.  Giving or receiving?

Obviously it's lovely to receive presents but I enjoy giving them out too! I love writing the Christmas list of what you're getting everybody then ticking them off as you buy, wrapping them up and then giving them out. It's my chance to be Santa haha!

5.  To mince pie or not to?

No, no, no! I don't like the look/smell/taste of them, although I've not long discovered that it's not mincemeat as in proper meat it's actually fruits! (I lack in the common sense department)

6.  What's your traditional Christmas lunch?

Our usual Christmas dinner includes Turkey, roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, carrots (ew), mash, stuffing, broccoli + cauliflower (we call them trees in our house) and pigs in blankets. Then we always have After Eight chocolates in the middle of the table, so we have a couple of them for dessert (rebelling against eating them after eight ooo).

7.  Christmas day fashion?

Each year we all wear our new clothes that we got for Christmas (Mum usually buys us an outfit) but this year we've gone for a theme that we're all going to wear Christmas jumpers. Mine is from Primark and was £12, it says 'I <3 Santa' on it and is super cosy. I got mine in a size bigger so that it's slouchy and more comfortable for Christmas day and I'm just going to pair it with some basic leggings and fluffy socks.

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?

Oh my god I absolutely love Christmas songs, I don't think I could pick a favourite! I've just got the 'Now That's What I Call Christmas!' CD, and it has all the best Christmas songs to get me in the festive spirit. I've already wrapped my presents up and I put the CD on whilst doing them, and whilst I was decorating my Christmas tree.

9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?

I have a few... In our house all the Home Alone's have to be watched about 1000 times near Christmas, you can't beat Elf either 'the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear'! Each year on Christmas Eve, my family cosy up with the fire on in the living room in our new PJ's and watch a new Christmas film (we buy a new one each year). My mum and brothers love 'Nativity' so I think this years Christmas Eve film will be 'Nativity 2'.

10.  Open presents before or after lunch?

Who opens them after lunch? That's far too much waiting!! It's also my birthday on Christmas Day so I have my Christmas presents in the morning with my family and then after I'm full to the brim from my Christmas dinner, I open my birthday presents.

Christmas is my favourite time of year and I get WAY too excited for it...

I tag everyone who loves Christmas, if that's not you- BAH HUMBUG!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the holidays:)

W7 Professional Brush Set Review

I fancied some online shopping on Amazon and I came across these brushes, they are W7's Professional Brush Set which include 12 different brushes. The set was £3.49 (excluding P&P) so I wondered whether they'd actually be any good, and surprisingly they are for the price!

L to R- Eyebrow Comb and Brush, Brow Spool, Sponge Applicator, Lip Brush, Large Squared Liner Brush, Angled Liner Brush, Fan Brush, Small Flat Shader, Medium Flat Shader, Large Flat Shader, Small Powder Brush, Large Powder Brush.

They come in a smart, leather roll so makes it easier to store them or take them on your travels.

I hate when brushes shed but these haven't as yet and don't look like they will, they're also really soft which I wasn't expecting when I see the price.

I'm quite chuffed with this little purchase, it could've done with a soft crease brush and maybe a foundation brush to make it even better but for £3.49 you can't really complain.

I'd recommend this set for anyone who's just starting to build up their makeup collection, it's a great start and a fab alternative to more expensive brushes like Real Techniques and Mac.

November Favourites

I'm not even kidding, this year is going WAY too fast and the year is almost over...

I love sharing my monthly favourites with you but they're coming round too quick now!

This month I have a few new products that I've been loving :)

Makeup Brushes

First is my W7 Professional Brush Set which I will do a review on soon. My favourite brush out of the set has to be the Angled Liner Brush because it can be used for my eyebrows and used to apply gel liner to the top/bottom of the eyes to create a thin, precise line.

I'm also loving my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This brush is ultra soft and great for really buffing in your foundation, I find that their Expert Face Brush is quite similar to their Buffing Brush so if I am deep cleaning one, I'll use the other. Price: £8.99

Hair Products

I though I'd try something new because my Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner has run out so I purchased Inecto's Shampoo and Conditioner, in my opinion the two products (Inecto and Argan Oil) work equally well and both leave my hair feeling soft and manageable.

I have a thing for having sets of products so I wanted to try their Dry Shampoo too, it works fine and leaves the hair feeling and smelling lush! However, it doesn't last very long as I have to use a lot of product each time  I use it for it to work properly.

Foundation

I've changed my foundation back to Rimmel's Match Perfection because I found Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation to be more summery and shimmery for Winter time. Price: £6.99

Concealer

I've heard alot of people talk about Collection's Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer and wow I know what they mean, it covers blemishes and dark under eye circles so well! Price: £4.19

Powder

Another product lots of other bloggers/YouTubers have been raving about is Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder, it stops any unwanted shine and makes the skin look great. Price: £3.99

Eyeliner

MUA's gel eyeliner has also landed on my favourites this month because I find it looks great on the eyelids and I absolutely love it. It comes with a thin brush which works absolutely fine with it but I prefer to use my W7 Angled Liner Brush! Price: £3

Thankyou for reading, and I'm going to try post more often I've just been SUPER busy lately:)

October Favourites

Okay, now this is getting ridiculous how fast the year is going! It's ANOTHER end of the month has which means it's monthly favourites time!

I don't have many new ones this month as I'm waiting for my deliveries to come so they will probably feature in next months!

Here goes...

I am loving my new Revlon Colour Burst Lipstick in Sienna

It looks so great on the lips and has a great colour coverage! I hate them lipsticks that look a great colour just on the stick but when you come to try them out, they're not as sharp as you wanted them to be. This colour is a deep red/orange and I just love it. The cover itself looks very sophisticated and even has 'REVLON' stamped on the base.

Another product I can't get enough of is Sleek's i-Divine au naturel eyeshadow palette

I thought I'd try these out and they're great natural colours for Autumn/Winter time. There are 12 colours, some matte and some shimmery colours. My favourite has to be the colour 'Taupe' it's a gorgeous shimmery pale pink colour and is really well pigmented. There's some great shades in this palette for blending and creating some great Autumn/Winter looks!

I'm also loving Collection's Lasting Perfect Ultimate Wear Powder

This is great for those long days where you can't be bothered to keep re-applying your makeup (I'm so lazy sometimes I just like to put it on at the start of the day and don't have to think about it till I have to take it off at night). It has 16 hour coverage so lasts all day, it also stops any unwanted shine. I've had this for a while now and forgot how good it is, I use it almost everyday and its only just started to 'hit pan' and I've had it since June!

I still can't live without my Simple skin and Argan Oil hair products

The Simple Kind to Skin range products I use as part of my daily routine are their Facial Wash Gel, Cleanser, Toner and Hydrating Light Moisturizer. Because I have eczema, I find it really hard to find products that don't irritate it. These products are great because they have no perfumes in it, they're just simple products that help the skin.

The Argan Oil range products I use are their Heat Defence Leave-in Spray, Hydrating Hair Mask, Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Serum. I dye my hair a lot so it usually leaves my hair really dry and damaged especially my ends! These products really help bring back the moisture to my hair, and makes it feel so much better.

The last product I've been loving is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, I use this everyday to blend my foundation in. The brush is so soft and spreads my foundation really well.

I'd recommend all these products to you all and hope this post helped!

Thankyou for reading!

Spooooooky tag!

1. What is your favorite Halloween movie?

It has to be Hocus Pocus, if you haven't watched... WATCH IT

2. What is your fondest Halloween memory?

One year, we had a party and my mum decorated the whole house! Literally, all the walls were covered with bin bags. It was so fun, and because I was so little I didn't have to help tidy up haha :)

3. Have you always been a Halloween lover?

Not really, I was the sort of kid that didn't like dressing up if I looked silly. I used to go in a massive strop if I felt I looked stupid (baring in mind I was the kid that mum decided to put my hair into a million different plaits/mini buns on my head). Now though, I don't really care haha and the fact mum can't decide what I wear anymore.

4. How do you get into the Halloween spirit?

Watching lots of Halloween movies and baking Halloween cupcakes, I've never carved a pumpkin before so this year I want to give it a try (even if I now it will turn into an epic fail)

5. Favorite Halloween decorations?
I love seeing pumpkins that are lit up, they're so cute (even if they're not meant to be)

6. Favorite candy?
Anything thats cherry flavored, I love sour sweets too!

7. Vampires or zombies?

VAMPIRES, purely because I'm a sucker (no pun intended haha) for the Cullen Family from Twilight.

8. What is your weird/odd fear(s)?

I can't stand feet, anyone who knows me knows not to put their feet near me. I don't like birds either, especially them bloody seagulls that feel the need to fly over your head for ages. If there's birds above me, I don't look like the coolest person in the world.

I tag everyone who loves Halloween!

Hope you enjoyed another tag, I quite like doing them because it means you can find out a bit more about me and I love reading others!

No one likes dry, chapped lips!

It's getting colder and for many it means we get dry, chapped lips because of the cold :( I hate having them so I have a few products to hopefully stop it happening...

I have two high-street drugstore ones. I heard all the rave about Maybelline Baby Lips so I made the time to go to my local shopping center and purchase them. Luckily at the time I went they were 2 for £5 (£2.99 each) in Superdrug so I bought the 'Cherry Me' (I love anything cherry if you didn't already know) one and the 'Hydrate' one.

I can't actually describe how good these work, if your lips are already dry then I'd recommend the 'Hydrate' one because it instantly repairs and gives them their moisture back. If you just want to prevent them from chapping and still want some colour on your lips, I'd recommend the 'Cherry Me' one or any of the other tinted ones like Pink Punch. You can feel the sugar particles in the 'Cherry Me' one and I quite like the texture of it instead of the usual slippy slidey feel.

I have a slightly more expensive one which you may have seen in Miley Cyrus' music video of 'We Can't Stop'. It's called EOS Lip Balm, I have it in strawberry sorbet and it smells so good, there are a range of different flavors/scents. It's quite small for how much it costs but I really wanted to try it out, it has a nice texture too. It instantly gives moisture to your lips and makes them look so nice! I

I'd recommend these products for autumn/winter if you don't want dry, chapped lips :)

Tag, Tag, Tag!

Favourite thing about it? I love layering up and going out; then coming in, getting your pyjamas on and sitting next to the fire.

Favourite drink? I've recently developed an unhealthy obsession for coffee, the smell makes me so happy.

Favourite scent/candle? Either sweet vanilla or cherry (which is my favourite of all time, I am obsessed with anything cherry scented)

Best lipstick? I've just ordered Revlon's Colour Burst Lipstick in the colour Sienna (055) which I'm very excited to try out, I've started to like my MUA Wild Berry lipstick too.

Go to moisturizer? Definitely my Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer,it's just popped up on my September Favourites post.

Go to colour for the eyes? I love warm, neutral shades in Autumn, them sort of colours just set off your outfit.

Favourite outfit to wear? Either a fluffy jumper paired with some skinnies or a skater dress with some thick tights. Then a big, warm coat with a cosy scarf.

Autumn treat? I think I'm going to treat myself to a new winter coat, but I'm struggling to find one I like that no one else has and will keep me warm. (HELP)

Favourite place to be? I love my bed all year round but during autumn/winter time I love just coming home, getting some comfy clothes on and sprawling on my bed. Or in the morning when it's so cold you just want to stay in bed for that 'extra couple of minutes' which end up being a lot longer!

This is the first time I've done a tag and I quite enjoyed it!

I tag all you autumn lovers :)

September Favourites!

Hello again, haven't posted in AGES because I've been so so busy at work and college :(

Where has September gone? It doesn't seem two minutes since I did my August favourites!

I've been buying lots of new products in September and here are some of my favourites...

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

This has popped up again because it's my best foundation I've used yet, I buy it over and over again!

Simple Skincare Products

Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel

I use this first, it takes away most of my makeup off and starts to make me feel refreshed.

Kind to Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion

I apply this to my face with a cotton pad, it removes any extra makeup that didn't come off with my facial wash.

Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner

I've never really known what toners are for, but now I do and feel the benefits, I wish I'd started using it before. It shrinks pores, protects your from impurities and refreshes your skin.

Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer (recommended by BubzBeauty)

Once I've done all this, I like to moisturize to keep my skin from becoming dry like it usually does. I find wearing makeup dries my skin out so using this last restores the moisture that has been taken out from my makeup.

These products are great for sensitive, dry skin; with me having eczema this doesn't irritate me because they aren't perfumed and are perfect for sensitive skin. I can't stand going to bed feeling like my face still has makeup on it, I like to have a fresh face. They were all around £2 each so were a bargain!

Argan Oil Hair Products

Heat Defence Leave-in Spray

I use this after I've washed my hair
before I blow-dry it, after spraying I brush it through and it protects my hair from the heat.

Intensive Hair Treatment

I don't use this everyday, I only use it when my hair feels particularly dry at the ends. I pour a tiny little bit onto my palm and spread it on my hand, then I apply it to my ends. It almost instantly gives my hair moisture back and makes it look in great condition. TIP: don't apply it to the roots, it makes your hair really greasy.

Hair Mask (crept up again)

I use this on my 'pamper days' or when my hair feels a little dry, it makes my hair feel in such better condition.

Shampoo + Conditioner

I don't use any other shampoo and conditioner now, using these and all my other products have made my hair feel and look a lot better than it did.

Makeup Academy Products

Pro Brow Kit

You may have seen this from my Makeup Academy Haul, I've used it everyday since and I've had many comments about my brows since using them. Before, I didn't put anything on my brows but now they stand out and look so much more defined.

Stippling Brush (F2)

This was also in my Makeup Academy Haul, I use it to blend in my concealer and it works really well. The brush is soft and there's no bristles that come out. (I hate it when that happens)

Some new and some old products which I have loved this September, I'd recommend any of these products!

Thankyou for reading, it makes so happy:)

I got a delivery!

As you may have seen from my previous post, I love deliveries! The same day I got my MUA products, I received another delivery which I was even more excited about...

I finally got my Real Techniques brushes!

I went on Amazon just to have a nosey (finding new beauty products) when it came up as 'Recommended' for me. Straight away I clicked on the link and it brought the Core Collection Kit on for £16.49!!

I received it the day after (the perks of Amazon Prime) and they are my favourite beauty product I own now. The brushes are so soft and they work fantastically, I can't big them up enough. They are designed by Samantha Chapman and she created a video to give you a guide on how to use them. Click the link below if you want to have a look.

There's 4 brushes (from left to right) : - Contour brush, Pointed Foundation brush, Detailer brush and Buffing brush. It also comes in a handy case to protect them or show them off (like I've put them on the picture above).

I highly recommend these brushes and for £16.49, they're such a bargain.

Thankyou for reading, speak again soon!

Makeup Academy Haul/Review!

I've heard lots about this MUA so I thought I'd try some of their products out, and whilst I was trying them out I thought I'd be nice and share my thoughts with you!

My first impressions was WOW, CHEAP! All their products were such low prices, but I wondered whether they'd be any good quality because they're not a lot of money...

I got my delivery the other day (I get super excited when deliveries arrive- I have a sad life) and they all came together in one cardboard box filled with bubble wrap. Who doesn't love bubble wrap?! After acting like a child at Christmas and popping the bubbles I actually remembered why I had this box in the first place, NEW MAKEUP!!

The first product I'll have a natter about is their Ready-to-wear Brush-on concealer from their Fashionista range

I use this for my dark under-eye circles (so annoying), it doesn't totally erase them but it lightens and fades them which I'm happy about because I hate them! It has a brush on the end so you can spread the concealer evenly over the places you need and it's just handy. This retails at £1.50.
Next is Makeup Academy Matte Lipstick

I got these in the colour 'Scarlet Siren' (the red one) and 'Wild Berry' (the purpley one). When I got them I thought WOW the colours looked ace at the bottom, but they don't go like that on the lips. I was abit disappointed with these 'cause I've been wanting some bold colours for a while, and these just didn't work for me. These retail at just £1 each.
I also got their Maxi Volume Mascara Big Lash Impact from their Fashionista range

This mascara has a brush applicator which I haven't used in a long time, I've been getting plastic applicator mascaras. I was quite impressed with this mascara because it made my lashes look really long and I didn't have to layer lots of it on. This retails at £1.50.
Another product was their Matte Perfect Loose Powder

I have never bought a loose powder before and I don't think I'll be raving about them anytime soon, I find them too messy! I got this in Translucent because I only wanted it to stop the fake shine look after I'd put foundation on. I prefer compressed powder like my Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Powder which has 16 hour coverage (it's really good). This retails at £2.30.

I've been wanting to try their Stippling Brush (F2) for ages but it always was out of stock

When it finally came in stock I didn't hesitate and added it straight to my shopping cart, I hate it when you buy a brush and the bristles are hard but this brush is lovely and soft, and I use it to blend my concealer. I love this brush but remember to wash brushes regularly because the bacteria builds up and you'll be wiping it on your face. This retails at just £3.

Last but by no means least is their Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit

I absolutely LOVE this, it's my favourite product out of them all! It has a pair of mini tweezers (I don't use them though I have my Avon ones which I use), an angled,double-sided mini brush, 2 shades of the eyebrow colour (a light one and a darker one), a highlighter and a gel. The choice of 2 colours means that you can  choose which one suits you most or mix them to find your shade, and the gel sets the brow colour so you get lasting results. The highlighter can be put on the brow bone to make your brows stand out. This was the most expensive out of them all retailing at £3.50 which is still an absolute bargain!

Overall, I thought these products were great for the price and there's definitely some that I will be purchasing again when I run out! I spent £13.80 on 7 products which I don't think is bad at all, and I am happy with most of what I've got.

Visit their site and try them out for yourself: http://www.muastore.co.uk/

Hope you enjoyed and thankyou for reading :)

August Beauty Favourites!

So it's been the holidays and I've been a bit naughty because I've been buying LOTS of makeup/hair products. So I'd thought I'd share some of my favourites with you :)

First up is foundation, now I have 2 Rimmel foundations that I absolutely love, I have quite dry skin and these foundations work for me.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

This foundation has a great coverage and is so easy to apply, I use a brush to apply my foundation so it blends well and looks even but you can rub in with clean fingers if you don't have a brush. I wear the shade classic beige as my face isn't very tanned but they do a wide range of shades to suit many. I wore this foundation for my prom in June and I loved it. It's currently around £6.99.

The next is Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation

This one is my most recent purchase, this foundation has an anti-fatigue effect which instantly makes you look awake and fresh. It has an illuminating effect to it as well which gives you that glowing, radiant look. Again, I use a brush to apply it to my face and it just gives me a nice glow. This is retailed around £8.99 so is slightly more expensive but is recommended by beauty bloggers such as Zoella.

Now onto concealer, my favourite one for this month has to be Technic's concealer with tea tree oil

This is in the form of a stick, it's great for dark, under eye circles giving a good coverage. I find it slightly peachy so I wouldn't use it for anywhere else on my face, it just covers my dark under eye circles nicely. It has tea tree oil in it which is just a booster, and it doesn't affect my eyes when I put it under them. I wear the light shade. This is quite cheap, pricing around £2.

I've got a few hair products that I love too, first is my Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask

I absolutely LOVE this, it's an intensive conditioning treatment with Moroccan Argan oil extract and it just does wonders for my hair. It has a mousse like consistency and I think it smells nice too. I use it after I've shampooed my hair and towel dried it, then I apply it all over my hair from root to tip and leave it on for around 10 minutes. It leaves my hair looking and feeling soft and hydrated. You get a 220ml tub for £4 which I think is a bargain!

Next are 2 shine sprays, V05's smoothly does it tame & shine spray and Schwartzkopf's shine tonic

This has featured in the V05 advert, it leaves my hair looking sleek. It has heat defence in it which is an  ultimate bonus as I'm always using heat  tools on my hair (I know I shouldn't but my hair is too frizzy to leave it natural). This is the more expensive out of the two but still not too pricey at around £3.50

Schwartzkopf's Shine Tonic is particularly for dry and damaged hair so if you have hair that isn't in the best of conditions this one is the one to use. It repairs hair as well as making it looking nice and healthy. Again a nice, cheap essential at around £1.50

My last product I will be mentioning is Messhead's Dry Shampoo

This is perfect for them busy days when you haven't got time to fully wash your hair, it takes away that greasy hair look and leaves hair feeling and smelling great. TIP: Make sure you brush it through your hair otherwise the product may make you look like you have grey hairs coming! Its only around £2 so you can't go wrong.

I hope you enjoyed this and I recommend any of these products.

Thankyou for reading!
